The lights are blazing on the highway
Like incandesent reminders on the black sky
Brushing white across her tear stained face
The music of her favorite band filling her ears
\"How long, how long, will I slide?\"
Music with terrible reminders.
Reminders of him.

She hangs her hand out the window
Feeling the breeze push it back
\"I don\'t, I don\'t believe it\'s better..\"
Wishes she could be the wind.
She would soar, way over his head, over everyone,
Instead of falling, like usual.

She pulls a tattered picture out of her pocket.
She had accidently washed it,
It ends folding up,
His face with deep creases.
He was smiling,
But he wasn\'t happy.
Not with her atleast.
\"Slitting my throat is all I ever..\"

She passed the next exit to his apartment.
She was leaving.
Inspired by the music of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and a little thing called nostalgia. I wrote this whole scenario in my head. I was imagining myself. Comments?

If you knew how much this was hurting me, would you stop?
Probally not.
